Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Spending time with family, watching the parade and football, and finally the food! All of the incredibly, delicious food. We eat dinner later in the day so we always have snacks in the kitchen to get everyone through till turkey time! It definitely is the holiday revolving around food. This year I thought the perfect snack would be a thanksgiving charcuterie board.

Our tradition is to spend Thanksgiving with my side of the family. So we get to my parents house early in the morning to enjoy cinnamon rolls and scrambled eggs. We get a little bit of time to sit and relax before it is time to get in the kitchen and start prepping the food. I love that the girls are old enough to get right in there and help with the cutting and preparing. Madelyn will follow her Grammy around the kitchen asking what she can do next.

At about noon we are all ready for something to snack on. We try our hardest to wait till the big meal but we just can never wait long enough. This is where the perfect charcuterie board comes in. A little bit of everything that everyone loves to eat. I have always been a sucker for meat and cheese boards. I make small ones for myself for nighttime snacking and lately I have been making them for us to eat at lunchtime.

For our thanksgiving board, I used items that are in season. Grapes, mandarin oranges, pears, dried cranberries, smoked gouda cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, pistachios, turkey pepperoni, turkey sticks, crackers, and farm & oven muffin bites. The beauty of a charcuterie board though is you can put whatever you would like on it.

A perfect new tradition any family can add to their thanksgiving gathering!

Have a beautiful Thanksgiving everyone!
