I find such joy with giving gifts to my children. I mean isn’t it so amazing to watch them open gifts and be delighted in what they are receiving? There are so many wonderful options out there for gifts and I thought it would be fun to share my picks. All of these gifts come from wonderful small shops I have found through instagram. Gifts from small shops are some of the very best gifts you can give! The time these shops take to create items and the love that goes into those items make for some memorable gifts for the holiday.
Holiday Gift Guide- For Kids
ZDough – What kid does not like playdough? Z Dough is one of my absolute favorite shops. It is not only fun to play with but it also has the most amazing smells. Unlike store bought dough, ZDough is made from all food-grade ingredients, including flour, water, baking flavors, and essential oils. So I know it is safe for my children to play with. The Christmas scents include spiced cranberry and vanilla mint. But there are many more scents and colors to choose from on the website. It is truly an amazing gift for any child so that they can create, build, and expand their imagination.
Tree Hopper Toys ABC sign – Sometimes it is nice to buy super adorable wall art for kids! This one is a must have. Not just because of the minimalist look but because everyone should have an alphabet sign somewhere in the house! We have been loving this sign in our school room/dining room. It works out perfectly with the rest of the decor and the girls love to use the ruler to point to the letters.
Fact + Fiction Cloud Stacker– I have been obsessed with stackers ever since I started to follow many of my homeschooling friends. Stackers seem to extremely popular and I now can see why. This cloud stacker from Fact + Fiction is the perfect gift for Finnegan. Made from all organic materials this stacker helps simulate a child’s imagination, teaches a child how to perceive shapes, and develops hand coordination. We are going to have a blast playing with this and seeing what he create.
Kindergarten Tool Kit Flashcards– I am a sucker for flashcards and I have seen that they are quite beneficial for the girls. We received the sight words and beginning Spanish sets and these have not disappointed. The sight words are excellent for refreshing Madelyn on what we have been learning throughout the week. Plus the cards can be used for so many fun activities with the ZDough and other learning tools. The Spanish flashcards have been a great introductory to learning a different language. Annaliese pulls those out almost every morning and I love hearing her from the other room trying to pronounce the words.
Mountain Tots Sweatshirt– I love buying clothing for my children for Christmas. Some may not but when that item is handmade and beautifully made, then I think it is a must. This sweatshirt for Finnegan is perfect for these cold and chilly winter days we are experiencing. The patterns at Mountain Tots are so much fun and includes animals like foxes, deer, and bears. The material is extra soft and oh so cozy!
Tree Hopper Whoa-Bots– I love this small shop so much that I needed to share it twice! These Whoa-Bots are so much fun for young and even older children. The girls have been having a blast trying to stack and balance the whoa-bots in all different ways. It has been a great addition to our morning basket and would make the perfect stocking stuffer this holiday season!
Dash Into Reading Books– I have shared these books before and I can not stress enough how life changes these have been for my daughter. What drew me in first was the beautiful illustrations. But what keeps me raving about these books is the structure of the writing. Each book gives a specific sight word and blending path that teach your child how to blend sounds. I have seen amazing improvement in how my daughter reads and she will read one of the books every single day with no complaints.
Cailene Creatives Shop– As the girls get older I love to find gifts that will last for years to come. Jewelry has been extremely popular in the last year with them. They love having all different pieces and I knew I had to get them a personalized necklace. Cailene Creatives had so many options and colors for the necklaces. I knew to keep the necklaces simple and chose their favorite colors for the cord and charm.
