Shop Small [OLE Design]

So excited to bring you all the next shop small feature! OLE design is a wonderful Canadian shop specializing in modern children’s accessories and apparel.

I met Olena through instagram and fell in love with her shop. Each piece is beautifully made with comfort and style in mind. There is a wide array of prints to choose from which I found to be a great feature because each child has such different personalities and I like options! OLE design offers so many wonderful items to dress your child from head to toe. Items include headbands, scarves, t-shirts, and leggings.

The modern and monochrome look is a popular choice right now. But that is not the only style OLE design has to offer. There are also prints that offer color for your littles wardrobe. I have to say we absolutely love what we received. Annaliese received the fuchsia kissed print while Madelyn received the buck forest print. The girls love to accessorize so I thought the infinity scarves were a perfect addition to their wardrobe. Each piece we received is carefully made with fabric that is soft and not irritating. My oldest is an extremely picky person and I was worried of how she would react to the scarf. But she loves wearing it. The fabric is lightweight enough for the girls to pretty much wear the scarves all year round where we live.

I had the pleasure to interview the wonderful woman behind the shop, Olena, to get a glimpse of what drives her in maintaining her own business.

Tell us a little about your shop, OLE Design.

Is there a special story behind the name?

When creating your pieces, what is your inspiration?

Is starting your own business something you always wanted to do?

I went to school learning a lot about business (I have Master’s degree in Economics) and my work experience is mainly in helping setting up and develop other small businesses so starting my own company was always a dream of mine. 

What has been your favorite design so far?

I am European and I love accessories so infinity scarves are my favourites for sure 😉

If you have experienced one obstacle, what was it and how did you overcome it?

What are your hopes and dreams for your business?

My dream is to make my customers happy and to be a brand that is modern, fashionable, natural and affordable. Working on it every day! 🙂
