These last two weeks have been full of fun and sickness. The last week of June was spent at my sister’s house. I always enjoy staying with her and Evan. They have so much love for the girls. They spoil the heck out of them. This was a special week. Our wonderful family came from South Dakota. It was such a joy to spend time with Joel, Faith, Zoey, and Poet. The week was spent making memories and seeing the girls play so well together.
Then came the sickness. I absolutely hate when the girls get sick. If I had the ability to take their pain away I would. Annaliese was the worst. An extremely high fever with stomach pain. At one point she was laying on the ground screaming and crying. I called the nurse over and over again and flooded her with questions. One plus of living in a small town is how well I know my nurse. She has been with me on this crazy journey from the moment I was pregnant with Annaliese. Madelyn woke up from her nap with a fever. So that night was an impromptu sleep over in the living room. The girls slowly got better and by Friday they were well but now suffering from allergies. Can’t we catch a break???
The weekend was full of family activities! On Friday the family came up for a barbeque and fireworks. It is such a blast to have my family come up.
On Saturday we enjoyed seeing our extended family The Cooper family.
And on Sunday I was able to sneak away and have a sister’s day in Traverse City!
It was a wonderful two weeks and I am happy that the girls are back to their normal selves!
It was an awesome time with you!!
