I very well may have said this before but, “I love subscription boxes!!” What is even better is when the box not only has products for me but also baby. One company that I came across is Kalina’s Creations. This subscription box comes with organic and handmade items that will satisfy both mama’s and baby’s needs. The box I received came with a cute onesie and shoes, baby massage oil, lip balm, and face oil. I am a big fan of organic products and slowly changing all products in my household to all organic and natural.
I instantly tried the lip balm that is made with shea butter, sweet almond oil, and sugar. I have dry lips all winter long and am always looking for a great product to nourish my lips. The onesie and shoes. I mean how adorable are these? Finnegan is so ready for Valentine’s day! The baby massage oil consists of rice bran oil that is infused with calendula and chamomile flowers, grapeseed oil, and avocado oil. It does not have an overpowering smell in which I like. Another winner in my book is the “Let’s face it oil.” I have severely dry skin in the winter and was eager to try this in my every day routine. These products have been amazing for us!
I asked Kalina some questions about her shop for this week’s shop small feature!
Tell us a little about your shop, Kalina Creations
Is there a special story behind the name?
I named it Kalina’s Creations because all my products are sewn and hand crafted by me.
When creating your pieces, what is your inspiration?
Before I began sewing and developing skin care products I listened to a lot of family and friends with babies. Some of them have different skin issues and I wanted to help them by creating vegan products.
Is starting your own business something you always wanted to do?
Yes my previous business I used to be owner and director of a brick and mortar; however, with Kalina’s Creations I run it from home giving me flexibility to stay at home with our growing family. On top of that, I love providing moms with home made products with some of the best ingredients for them and their babies.
What has been your favorite product so far?
I love making all my products but my favorite is the baby oils which helps baby with cradle cap and the ones which help those with eczema, which I am not allowed to say but “upset skin.” And all my sewing products I get to design and sew myself.
If you have experienced one obstacle, what was it and how did you overcome it?
The biggest obstacle is getting the word out but I am an eternal positive person and I surround myself with people who believe in the same things I do. I am a Jesus loving person and believe in giving back. I am always looking for a worthy cause to give back and at this time I am donating a portion of my profits to Goats of Anarchy, which was started by Leanne Lauricella, a sanctuary for baby goats who have been abused or injured. Nothing like giving back and when my business does well, the more I am able to give back.
What are your hopes and dreams for your business?
I run my business from home and hope to employ a couple of moms to help me with the operation once it gets bigger. I also plan to partner with more worthy causes in the future once I am able to have some growth. For now it is just me doing everything and I love it. There is nothing like running my own business, I wake up every day at 4:30 or 5 am and I don’t want to fall asleep because I am loving what I do, even though it sounds cliche, it is true.
This is such a great small shop and I believe that all mom’s and babies can benefit from the products in this box!

This box is so cute! I am intrigued by the oils for cradle cap, both of my girls had that and I could tell it made them itchy and uncomfortable sometimes. Thanks for sharing her business!
