“Happiness is letting go of what you think your life is supposed to look like and celebrating it for everything that it is.” -Mandy Hale
Hello friends! This link party was created as a way to create some inspiration and happiness as we begin our week. It can be hard to find the happiness in our day to day, and I believe it truly does help to take a second to find the positive. Please take a second to visit all of my wonderful co-hosts who will be sharing this link party as well!

So how do I find happiness?
Most days it seems daunting and difficult to find a moment of happiness. I get so consumed of my day to day life that it seems as though I have become a robot performing the same duties over and over again. I am a stay at home mom of two daughters aged 5 and 4. This is also the first year that I have taken on the task of homeschooling. With the duties or wife, mom and teacher tugging at my every thought, I find no time to just take a moment and look around. Look at the possibilities. Look at the gifts I have been given. Look at what is being accomplished.
For example, one day last week the girls seemed to be in one of their moods. I tried and tried to get them to listen. Discipline was enforced. Privileges were taken away. But nothing seemed to be working. They had managed to break me. I went in my room and cried. There are not many days where they have the ability to conquer but they managed that day. I texted my husband to call me on lunch. When he did and I was able to talk to him, a calmness washed over me. His five minute pep talk gave me perspective. To pace myself and to embrace even the bad days.
That afternoon, the girls were still moody but I had the ability to take on the moodiness. I was able to walk through the rest of my day because of my husband. His calm voice and encouraging words reassured me that though the day was rough there would be moments of laughter. There would be moments where a smile would come across my face.
So I choose to find happiness in the little moments. The moments when my daughters will draw me a picture. The moments when one of them will say something funny or do a silly dance. The moments when they will come to me and hug me. The moments when my husband will come to my rescue. Each one of these moments has the ability to create so much joy and happiness in my life. I am able to look around at where I am and find happiness. It is out there. It is waiting for me to see it. Each day will bring happiness to me as long as I am willing to embrace it!
Therefore it is so possible to find a happy moment in an absolutely horrible day. When having a bad day it is easy to dwell on what you do not have but if you stop and take a look at what you do have, it surely will put a smile on your face!

Oh mama, I have so many days like this! So relatable, but I agree, treasuring and appreciating the good moments definitely helps!
Such a great link up! I’m also a stay at home mom, and my twin boys often have the ability to make me lose it. But, they also have the ability to make me super happy. It’s all about the balance sometimes.
Definitely a balance!
Loved this. Sometimes if you’re having a hard day, it can be so easy to become overwhelmed with how bad it is and forget the little things that happened that were good. #thinkhappybehappy
Thank you for reading!!!
My hubs is my calming voice as well. So happy to have such a force in my life.
yes! It is a wonderful thing to have in life!!!
This is beautiful and I really feel you. I have these days where I am just so overwhelmed and want to hide in my closet or sit on a deserted island. This is a wonderful way to look at it and be thankful when those moments take over. Thank you for linking up and taking part in this with me! I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week.
Thank you Kristen! It is definitely the way to look at it that can change the whole situation!
Lovely post. I agree happiness is found in the little things and in a smile and in our families. Its a state of mind the trick is to have the ability to find it.
It definitely is a state of mind!
The little moments are some of the best! When days seem long and hard, I love sitting back at the end of the day after the kiddos have gone to bed and reflect on all of the good that occurred.
Yes!
Staying home all day with the kids is so wonderful, but some days are so aggravating! Sometimes, you just need a little something extra to turn those days around!
exactly! I would not change it for the world but some days I need a little more to get me through!
