As a parent I often lose focus. I am bombarded by the ins and outs of everyday life that I forget to slow down and appreciate the two little ones that are quickly growing and creating their own independence. I wrote this down in my journal for a reminder that I need to live in these moments.
Find more time.
Enjoy the moments.
Embrace the smiles.
Hold on a little tighter.
Take deep breaths.
Get down on their level.
Speak softly.
Teach them wisely.
Get silly.
Hug a little longer.
Avoid distractions.
Let them help.
Count to ten.
Remember consistency.
Treasure the laughter.
Remember the tears.
Cuddle.
Hold their hand.
Worry less.
Continue to dance.
Give total attention.
Love who they are.
I am having one of those days where I wished I would have taken more time to stop and enjoy them. My daughter turns 15 today and all I can think of is where in the world did time go?
Happy Birthday to your daughter! Time quickly escapes us!
Great reminders. The moments are so fleeting and they grow so fast it’s scary. It’s definitely important to savor everything we can. I’m currently working on a blog post about this, actually!
It is scary! It is so easy to get wrapped up in life that I forget to just embrace the every day moments! Cannot wait to read your post on this!
Happy Birthday to your daughter! They get so big so fast. 🙁 I am constantly reminding myself to slow down and spend more time with them.
This is such a great, simple post to remind us that we need to cherish our children. They grown fast and everyday with them is special!
Thank you!!!
