The One Thing I Really Want for Mother’s Day

This post has been sponsored by Jord Watch. All of the thoughts and opinions expressed are my own

It is hard to believe that it has been seven years since I first became a mother. I have said it before and I will say it again that motherhood is my greatest accomplishment. I have the honor to raise these three beautiful children to be well-rounded, educated citizens of this world. There is nothing I love more than the title of mom. So since Mother’s Day is quickly approaching I have been bombarded by the “What do you want” question. While it is absolutely wonderful to get the flowers and the cards and the other gifts, this year I want one thing that means so much more to me.

This year the one thing I really want for Mother’s Day is more time. I want more time to get things done. I want more time to visit with friends. I want more time to spend reading or doing crafts. I want more time to go on adventures. However most of all I want more time to spend with my children. I want more time to hold them. I want more time to teach them. I want more time to talk to them. I want more time to have dance parties, play barbies, and sing songs. It is maddening on how time has a way of working. The minutes rapidly fly by leaving me with whiplash. The moment I feel as if I have caught up, I realize that more time has slipped by. One quote I stumbled upon says,

Every moment is precious to those who know the value of time.

I have to admit that when I found this quote I spent a lot of time rereading it and meditating on those words. The value of time. What is the value of time? Do I value my time?

Time runs continuously and never stops. It will not wait for me. Therefore I should never spend my time without purpose and meaning during any stage of life. Now I am not saying that I am going to give up on house work and working from home. These need to be done. But sometimes I get so consumed by the daily tasks of life that I may be missing opportunities to spend with my children. I also get easily distracted by unnecessary things thus causing me to waste time. So since I am wasting my time on these things I am not valuing my time. In order to take advantage of the time I have been given, I need to use that time wisely. I need to focus on my children’s needs before the needs of the home. The important task at hand is the raising of my children. No matter what we are doing I have the ability to make that moment precious. I want to make every moment count. I want to make the time I spend with my children something that they will look back on with fondness and gratitude.

One thing that helps me stay on track with spending my time wisely and making the most of the moments I have with my children is my beautiful Jord Watch. This would be a perfect gift for Mother’s Day. Now through May 14th every purchase of a women’s watch comes with free engraving. I was able to get my watch engraved with one of my favorite quotes, “Children are the anchors that hold a mother to life.” This is an absolute accurate sentiment for motherhood. Each one of my children give me the power to stay afloat in this beautiful life that I am living. I love my life as a mom.

Though I cannot create more time, I can most definitely reevaluate how I use my time in order to create more precious memories with my children. Therefore I have the power to give myself the one thing I truly want for Mother’s Day!

Hope each and every one of you have a beautiful Mother’s Day!
