Finnegan’s Woodland Nursery Reveal

With the girls I did not have the opportunity to makeover rooms into the perfect nurseries. Location and timing were just never right. So when I got pregnant with Finnegan I knew that this was my chance to create a room that I would love! I knew right away that I wanted to incorporate deer into my theme. From there it evolved into woodland with a fun color combination. I love gray and find it to be a beautiful color for any room. It works well in the nursery by keeping everything bright. I went with all white furniture because it contrasted really well with the gray. The rest of the colors I went with were navy blue, light blue, and orange.

Now let me tell you a little bit about this wonderful lady that made the quilt and curtains. Yup that wonderful lady is my mother. I love looking at baby bedding. The one thing I hate looking at is the price. How can a store ask you to pay over $200 on a bedding set for a baby is beyond me. Go ahead if you want and call me a cheap skate. But I like to think I am just good with my money! Anyway as I was unsuccessfully finding the perfect set for the nursery, my mom secretly decided to start making this quilt. I am completely in awe of my mom and her talent. The quilt is such a beautiful piece and quite frankly my favorite thing in the nursery. The curtains too are just what I was looking for!

Now another item that was made is the wooden play gym. My husband and his woodworking talent was able to quickly make one of these for me. At the moment we have these wonderful Skip Hop toys dangling from it but I will be making wooden toys to go along with the gym!

The felt name banner is from Silly Ollie. Sarah does amazing work. I mean seriously one of my absolute favorite shops I have ever found. The things that she does with felt…unbelievable. I am in love with Finnegan’s name banner!

The bear and deer prints are from a wonderful shop Hi Kids Co. This shop makes some of the coolest prints and the prints can either be ordered or printed yourself with a digital download. I fell in love these little guys and instantly knew they would look perfect in Finnegan’s room.

The mobile is from Organic Baby Love. I searched for a while for the perfect baby mobile. There are so many options but I kept gravitating back to felt ball mobiles. Even better I found this beautiful shop with the nicest owner. She makes all mobiles from 100% organic wool and does amazing work!

We took an old bookcase of ours and created a little closet since all of our rooms are lacking in those. This is perfect for hanging his adorable little outfits. Whoever said that shopping is no fun for a boy was totally wrong! I also find these fabric bins perfect any nursery. They are great for storing more clothes, diapers, and toys.

I am so in love with Finnegan’s nursery. Let me know what you think about the nursery!
