DIY Snowy Pinecone Garland

With the holidays in full swing it is time to get extra crafty around here. I do not know what it is about this time of year but my love for all things DIY switches to high gear. I love to add rustic touches to my home any where I can and the girls have a thing about collecting pine cones. So what better way to use up all those cones laying around my house then in a beautiful garland.

Here’s what you will need:

Glue
Fake snow
Pine cones
Jute twine
Scissors

  • Put glue on one plate and fake snow on another plate.
  • Dip pine cone in glue then in snow.
  • Set aside and wait to dry.
  • Once dried take jute twine and tie around pine cone.
  • Continue until you have your desired length of garland.

While the girls and I enjoy crafting, we enjoy snacking even more. Every festive DIY deserves a great snack. As the girls went along decorating and stringing up pine cones, I grabbed a snack that is always a hit at our house- Goldfish. Goldfish are baked with real cheddar and contain no artificial flavors or preservatives.

This time of year can get really hectic and I remind myself on the daily to embrace these special moments with the girls. Adding Goldfish to our holiday fun enhances the memory making and will forever be intertwined with our wonderful adventures. Feeling inspired to do a garland? Or maybe looking for even more fun activities to do with the children? Check out Goldfish on Pinterest!
